Hindsight’s 2020 & God’s Provision

I realize that many of you didn’t hear anything from us in 2020. I sincerely apologize. God opened some really incredible doors to our family and ministry!

In the Bible, all throughout Genesis and Exodus, the Lord’s provision is very clearly seen: water from rocks, food from the sky, deliverance from enemies, family lines preserved… There are so many instances where God provided at just the right moment with just the right thing. Sometimes that particular thing didn’t look so good, such as in the story of Joseph in Genesis chapters 37 and 39-41. But even scary circumstances like that turned out to be for the good of God’s chosen people. He is so faithful! So much of 2020 was like that for us, as I’m sure it was for many of you as well. We had many good things planned out for that year, but in hindsight, those things were not God’s best. His best looked quite different and we saw His provision in amazing ways: strengthened relationships with Jenrri and Glenda, our local church, and especially Pastor Candelario and his family; A greater ability to minister to strangers in the midst of a pandemic; A new house to rent; Medicines and vitamins for which we found entire extra bottles we didn’t know we had, pills that should have run out, but didn’t. A single box of contact lenses that providentially doubled. We also had our monthly support sustained in a time when there was so much uncertainty and we saw several large special gifts come in at just the right time.

Thank you to so many of you that gave, whether through monthly support, your prayers, your time and encouragement, or those special gifts. God supplied all our needs according to His riches and glory and He continues to do so. It was and is incredible to see!
