This summer we were so excited to have a visitor with us for a couple of weeks in June. We’ve known Daniel since he was tiny. He is now a young man, starting college, and finding his way in the world.

He came down to Parras to help out however he could and practice his Spanish. We had a really great time hanging out with Pastor and his family numerous times, playing lots of games of Mexican Train with them, painting the walls at Vida Nueva, visiting with Glenda, Monday Night Men’s Prayer Meeting, and going on little excursions through town.

It was so helpful to have an extra set of hands in the house to help keep our kids entertained. One of their favorite “games” to play is “prayer meeting” where they set up a circle of chairs and someone leads a Bible study. I think the girls had something like five prayer meetings while Daniel was here.

Daniel’s dad, Phillip flew down with him for the first couple of days. It was so great to catch up with him! The one thing Phillip wanted to do in the short time he was here was visit with Pastor Candelario and his family. Of course, we were happy to oblige!

Overall, we all had a really great time together, and we were so excited to let Daniel see and participate in a little bit of our daily life and ministry. You are welcome back any time, Bud, our door is open!
