We are back in Mexico. I really wanted to get on here and update you while we were gone, but that was unfortunately a bad idea. I may eventually share as to why, but that post is definitely for another day.
As we were preparing to return after six months stateside, Adam wanted to make sure that the girls were eating spicy foods again to re-acquaint their palletes to the food to which we were returning. When the girls asked why they had to eat salsa again, Adam said we were returning to, “the land of spice and concrete.”
It is so good to be home! We haven’t seen many people yet, because we were working on recovering from illness, starting school, and potty training all at once. Someone I know thinks we’re crazy for taking all of that on at once. Maybe we are. All that to say, we are going to start seeing more people again very soon, and I am so excited! I’m especially looking forward to having regular fellowship times with our pastor and his family and to seeing the kids from Vida Nueva. Other than a brief glimpse from the car directly after our return (while we were sick), we haven’t spent any time with them since mid-February. That’s so sad to think about.
I promise that in the time we were gone in the US we haven’t been idle. We have so many stories that I’m looking forward to sharing bit by bit now that we are home. I’ll be back soon!
