Felicidades means congratulations in Spanish. The congratulations go out to Mario and Cristina for their graduation from primary school (comparable to elementary school)! We were so privileged and excited to celebrate them at the end of June with the rest of the kids in the form of a pool party complete with water slides, a cookout, tres leches cake, and twelve very tired people at the end of the day.Then on July 2nd, we celebrated with them at the graduation at their school. It was a Vegas themed program and children from each grade had some part in the program through either dance or song. The kids were so excited when at the end of the night the president of Parras, who had delivered the address to the class, brought out a real Mariachi band which played and sang to congratulate the 2019 graduates.We are so proud of Mario and Cristina for accomplishing this milestone by finishing primary school! They are both looking forward to returning to the home at the end of the summer and beginning secondary school (middle and high school). We are looking forward to having them (and all of the children that are returning and potentially new ones) back in the Home on August 25th.
