July 21st

I sat down to write, and my in-laws home is quieter than a church at 1 am on a Thursday morning. Adam and his dad are changing the oil in Adam’s motorcycle, his mom is downstairs, and Chloe is taking a much needed very long nap. Which gives me time to catch y’all up. (Y’know, all three of the people following this little blog šŸ˜‰)

The last two months have been busy! Adam’s last day of work at his secular job was June 1st. The 33 days after that, we had multiple appointments and activities. There was something every day. It got to the point that we scheduled empty days on purpose in July just so we could catch our breath. Even a few of those days were spent working, but the busyness of our lives has not been without fruit. In just over six weeks, we reached 79% of our monthly funding. God is so good! Thank you so much if you are one of the 29 people, so far, that is making this incredible dream come true! We are beyond excited to see how God is going to use YOU in Mexico, because without you, we wouldn’t be able to go.

On this journey so far, we have been all over Texas, in Kansas City, every corner of Wichita, different places in Oklahoma, and a trip to Michigan might even be in the works. Thank you to every person that has graciously interrupted their lives for our family. Y’all are a blessing!

Our Commission To Every Nation (CTEN) orientation was June 19th-21st. I just have to say that the community we felt being in a room with 26 other missionaries, not to mention the missions staff, was incredible! We were able to sit with many of them and hear story after story of God’s provision and faithfulness. Heaven is going to be amazing, y’all!

A lot of exciting stuff is happening! Our commissioning by our church will be August 12th, and we are looking at leaving a day or two later. That deadline is fast approaching. So we continue to raise our support, make decisions about stuff, pack, and say farewell to our sweet family and friends. Please keep us in your prayers, let us know how we can pray for you, too!
